Native Document Collaboration

Create and edit documents right inside BIDOR. No more switching between apps.

What is Native Document Collaboration?

BIDOR now has a built in document editor. Instead of writing in Google Docs or Word and then uploading files, you can create documents directly inside your workspace. Add collaborators, track every version, and keep your documents connected to the workflows they belong to.

Creating a Document

  • Click "New Doc" in the Document Hub. Give your document a title and start writing immediately. The editor opens right away.
  • Use the formatting toolbar. Bold, italic, underline, headings, lists, links, and more. Everything you need to write clear documents.
  • Auto save keeps your work safe. Your document saves automatically as you type, so you never lose progress.

Collaborating with Your Team

Add Collaborators

Invite team members by email. Each collaborator gets a role: Editor (can edit the document), Commenter (can leave comments), or Viewer (read only access). Only the document owner can add or remove collaborators.

Version History

Every time you save a version, BIDOR keeps a snapshot of the document. You can see who edited what and when, and browse the full history. This is useful when you need to review changes or understand how a document evolved over time.

  • Each version records who made the change and when
  • Browse through previous versions at any time
  • Versions are capped to keep things manageable
  • Manual "Save Version" button for important milestones

How It Fits with the Rest of BIDOR

Native documents live alongside your uploaded files in the Document Hub. You can:

  • Organize with folders and tags. Keep native documents alongside uploaded files using the same folder structure.
  • Search across everything. Find native documents by name using the same search you use for all your files.
  • Keep context close. Write meeting notes, project briefs, or process documents right where the work happens.

Access Controls

Security

Documents are scoped to your organization. Only people in your organization and invited collaborators can access them. The document owner controls who has access and what role they have.

Use Cases

Project Briefs

Write the brief, share it with stakeholders, and keep it updated as the project evolves.

Meeting Notes

Take notes during meetings and share them with the team instantly. Everyone stays on the same page.

Process Documentation

Document your team's processes and keep them up to date without leaving BIDOR.

Policy Drafts

Draft policies with your team, track every revision, and know exactly who changed what.

Tip

Use native documents for anything you'd normally write in a separate app. Keeping everything in one place means less context switching and fewer lost files.
